About Your Trail Guide & Life Coach

I’m John, a Trail Guide & Life Coach for Lessons on the Trail.

Lessons on the Trail is a metaphor for lessons learned while traveling the long, wild trail of life. As I reflect back on my own life journey thus far, many insights have now taken the place of secrets, doubts, and uncertainties.  Life is so much more joy-filled. I don’t have all the answers, but I’ve discovered real truths that are nourishing me on my own trail of progress.

Lessons on the Trail is dedicated to helping others discover their truths and experience real progress in slaying dragons and reaching a better place in life.  It can be a game changer in helping you achieve life transformation goals or acquiring  effective recovery support.

I’m in my 50s and I plan to devote the rest of my life trying to help others just as I’ve been helped on my own journey by many wonderful men and women who genuinely care about people.  Life coaches and guides have been, and will remain, a big part of my transformation journey.

While I’ve already had careers in the military and in higher education, I’ve undergone professional training to equip me to serve as a Guide and life coach, particularly in the mental and emotional health realms.

Lessons on the Trail is not a substitute for therapy. It is, however, very helpful for those wanting peer support, accountability, and a lot of encouragement. Lessons on the Trail isn’t a journey to the silver bullet or magic pill. It’s a Journey to Progress though which leads to a transforming life.
